Neighborhood Watch
To improve the safety and security of our neighborhood, the board has investigated the feasibility of forming a Neighborhood Watch program.
Neighborhood Watch is a community crime prevention program with the objectives of reducing crime and/or the opportunity for crime. The program is designed to supplement police activities by providing extra eyes, ears, and awareness of unusual activity such as strange cars or persons in the neighborhood. Neighborhood Watch is people looking out for people and is considered a major deterrent against crime.
The Woodridge Neighborhood Watch program requires nothing more than an interested and motivated group of homeowners. Attendance at an initial meeting with the Woodridge Police community liaison is required for all participating neighbors. The Police department provides training, maps out the neighborhood and assists with watch assignments, provides materials and posts neighborhood watch signs, all free of charge.
If you are interested in participating in the Neighborhood Watch please contact Cathie Bucek at watch@mysevenbridges.com.
