Letter from the SBHOA Board
Posted on Feb 10th, 2020
Dear Neighbors,
We would like to thank our homeowners for your participation in our recent board elections in December. We are pleased to announce our new HOA board and their respective positions, Roxann Honn--President/Treasurer, Jean Hoyle--Vice-President, Susan Spires--Secretary-Media, Vicki Jipping—Treasurer and Neighborhood Watch liaison, Lanhua Hu—Social.
We would like to thank Alberto De La Serna and Carl Jakubowski for their years of service on the board. They dedicated countless hours to our community and approached their service with of a sense of doing what was right. We would like to see the neighborhood, thrive, unite, and be an example of how a vibrant neighborhood should be. The new board and I hope to stay true to the history and character of this neighborhood that has made Seven Bridges a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
The $250.00 annual homeowner assessment invoices have been mailed. If you have not received your invoice, please contact us on www.mysevenbridges.com so that we may email you another invoice. Thank you to all of you who have already made your payment.
No matter when you purchased your home you became obligated to join the homeowner’s association (HOA) and pay yearly fees for the upkeep of common areas and structures. Keep in mind that you may not sell your house without a HOA approval letter, therefore all past assessments and late fees accumulate every year and you will not be able to close on your house until those assessments plus late fees are paid and cleared. Our goal is to have every homeowner up to date on their assessments this year. Look for a notice on your door within the next 30 days if you are behind.
We would like to remind you that all HOA documents are posted on www.mysevenbridges.com. On this site you will find information regarding upcoming events, HOA board meetings, approved minutes, etc. Homeowners can also find recommendations for businesses and services as well as babysitters on the website. The site will be continually be updated and modernized over time. This is the best way to know what is going on in the neighborhood. If you have not already registered your email address please do it now so that you get valuable updates via email.
We have also created a Private Facebook group called “Seven Bridges Estates Homeowners Association” where we will also post information regarding upcoming events and news. This is a friendly community site, so please be courteous and respectful of your neighbors. We will not post or answer questions to any other social media platforms. Also, look to this magazine for dates of community events.
We are looking to do some fun and family-friendly events again year such as the Easter egg hunt a Fourth of July parade and Summer BBQ and the Garage Sale. We will need volunteers and participants to make these events a success, so please look to the website and upcoming emails and for more details. It was a great disappointment that our Chinese New Year party had to be canceled, but due to so many international travelers in our neighborhood and the coronavirus outbreak, we thought it was best to keep everyone healthy and safe.
Please be considerate of your neighbors, shovel your sidewalks, pick up your trash, dog waste and make sure you have lids on your garbage cans so that the garbage does not blow all over the streets. The board cannot police these items but would like to remind you to treat your neighbor and their property as you would like yours treated.
We always encourage your feedback and ideas to improve the neighborhood and nourish the friendly atmosphere that has defined Seven Bridges.
Sincerely,
Roxann, Jean, Susan, Vicki and Lanhua
